Digimon: DigiMaster
--------------------
Episode Ten: Mega No More
--------------------------
LAST TIME: Mimi: "Well, we finally made it to France, but it
wasn't as grand as I thought it would be. We couldn't find a car
or anything, so we had to start walking. Just when I thought my
poor feet couldn't take much more, Churimon pops out. That evil
red chicken used his Feather Missile and almost hit me, but
Togemon jumped in the way. Luckily, she recovered while the
others kept Churimon busy, and then she digivolved to Lillymon
and blasted that meanie right out of the sky."
--------------------------
In the throne room of his dark castle, DigiMaster sat watching
the tape he made of his last encounter with the DigiDestined. He
was trying to figure out what weaknesses they have, so he could
exploit them. Cueing the tape to a certain spot, he started
playing it again.
"Ha! I'd like to see you try to come up here!"
Churimon was saying to Togemon.
"Hey," shouted Mimi. "I've had enough of you.
Togemon!" DigiMaster watched as she turned to Togemon, and
her digivice began to glow. "Togemon digivolve to...LILLYMON!"
*Wait! That's it!* thought DigiMaster. He ran
through the tape
again to confirm it. *Every time one of the digimon digivolve,
one of those digivices starts glowing. That must be the key!
That's how the digimon and humans are linked, and that's how the
digimon digivolve on command!*
DigiMaster opened a channel to his minion Compumon,
and began
giving him instructions....

"We're here!"
The DigiDestined stopped just within view of the
Eiffel Tower,
site of the second of the four keys they needed to find. From
here, the Eiffel Tower didn't look very big, but they were still
about half a day's walk away. They also didn't see any evil
digimon guarding the place, but that didn't mean anything yet
either.
"Well," said Joe, "it's getting pretty late. I
think we should rest here for a while and attack tomorrow."
"That's a good idea, Joe," replied Kevin.
"Yeah, Joe does have good ideas sometimes," said
Gomamon. "It's rare, but it can happen."
"Hey!" said Joe.
"All right," said Tai, "let's decide on shifts
to keep watch tonight. How 'bout it Agumon? Feel like taking the
first shift?"
"Sure!" replied Agumon.
"Me and Gabumon have the second watch," said Matt.
"Me and Bi will take the third watch, then," said
Sora, glancing at her digimon companion. Biyomon nodded.
"All right," said Kevin, "now that that's
settled, good night everyone!"
"Goodnight!"
##########
Late that night, during the third watch, two shadowy
figures
slinked quietly towards the group of sleeping children, being
very careful to stay out of Sora and Biyomon's sight. One went
over to the sleeping form of Tai, while the other quietly made it
to Matt's side. Finishing their job with those two, they turned
towards Izzy and Joe. Suddenly, one of the figures stepped on a
branch, and a loud snap! was heard.
Turning towards the sound and switching on her
flashlight,
Sora spotted two Sentimon in the middle of the group. One had
apparently been in the middle of silently yelling at the other
when she shined her light on them, at which point they froze,
staring at her like a deer in headlights.
Flying above the group, Biyomon said, "Spiral
Twister!"
Her blast struck both Sentimon and they went flying backwards. By
this point, the others had woken up and started joining in on the
attack. The Sentimon got scared and ran away, quickly.
"Is everyone all right?" asked Sora.
"I seem to be functioning properly." replied Izzy.
"I wasn't even aware of their presence until Biyomon
attacked them."
"Oh, no!" said Tai, suddenly. "My digivice is
missing!"
"Mine too," said Matt. "I bet those Senti-goons
took them."
"I bet you're right! Come on, let's go get them
back!"
"Wait, Tai!" shouted Joe. "You can't just rush
off yet. You haven't eaten anything since yesterday, so you don't
have as much energy as you should. Plus, without your digivice,
Agumon can't digivolve, so you'd be helpless against almost any
digimon that attacked you."
"Joe's right, Tai," said Sora. "Be sensible!"
"But those guys are getting away with our
digivices!"
argued Tai.
"Wait a second, Tai," said Matt. "They're
right, we need to eat first and get some energy. Then we can go
running off after our digivices."
Finally convinced, Tai sat down and started having
breakfast
with the rest of the group. Breakfast consisted of Pop-Tarts
heated over a fire and some fruit juice Kevin brought along. The
digimon really loved the Pop-Tarts, and Tentomon insisted on
learning how to make them before this adventure was over.

"Okay, boss," Compumon was saying, "the
Sentimon have returned with two of the digivices, but they were
attacked before they could get the rest."
"What?!?" DigiMaster yelled. He was still in his
throne room in the DigiWorld, but he had sent Compumon through to
the real world to study the digivices. "How could they be so
incompetent? Whose digivices did they get?"
"The ones connected to Agumon and Gabumon. According
to
the TV show, those are the only digimon in the group who can
reach the Mega level."
"Hmmm...perhaps those Sentimon weren't as stupid as
I
thought. Very well, begin studying those two digivices
immediately."
"Sir, I'd prefer to bring them back to the DigiWorld
for
analysis, because I have--"
"NO!" DigiMaster screamed, cutting Compumon off.
"I will not risk those devices being damaged by the
transport process. You will study them in the real world, and
that's final! Understood?"
"Understood, sir," Compumon responded, trembling.
Closing the channel, Compumon got to work.

About halfway through breakfast, Kevin had come up
with a plan
to deal with the missing digivice problem. After running it
through all the possibilities he could think of, he decided to
share it with the group.
"Okay, I've been thinking about this problem, and I
think
I've got a plan."
"All right, let's hear it," said Tai.
"Since we now have six digimon in the group who can
digivolve, I think three of those should go with Tai and Matt to
find their digivices, and the other three should continue on to
the Eiffel Tower to get the water key."
"That sounds like a very logical course of action,"
replied Izzy. "Who would you recommend go with each group?"
"Well, I think that you, TK, and Kari go with Tai
and
Matt, since you can use your knowledge of computers and the
digivices to track down the missing ones and manage to meet back
up with us later.
"Sora, Joe, Mimi, and I will head for the Eiffel
Tower
and get the water key. After you guys find the other digivices,
you can track us down by one of the digivices we have and join
back up with us. We'll just continue to the next key if we get
the water key before you get the digivices."
"That sounds like a good plan," said Tai. "What
do you think, Matt?"
"Sounds good to me. Let's go!"
The group split up the supplies and prepared to go
their
separate ways. Just before they were ready to leave, however, Tai
walked up to Sora.
"Hey, Sora?"
"Yeah?"
"Be careful, okay? I don't want you to get hurt."
*Wow, that's really sweet.* thought Sora. "Same goes
for
you, Tai. Be extra careful, since Agumon can't digivolve until
you get your digivice back."
"I will," said Tai, feeling himself get caught in
Sora's eyes again.
"Hey, Tai! Let's get a move on, here!" came Matt's
voice, snapping Tai out of his trance.
"Uh, right! Coming! See you later, Sora!" Tai shot
back over his shoulder as he ran off to join his group.
*I hope so,* thought Sora, as she joined her group.
With that,
the two groups set off, one to find the digivices, and one
towards the Eiffel Tower.
---End of episode ten---
Will Tai and Matt be able to find their digivices? Will Sora and
her group be able to get the water key without the others' help?
Find out next time on "Digimon: DigiMaster"!
