"Someone has to kiss her? What if they get AIDS are something?" asked Joe worridly. "Sorry, but there's no way I'm taking the risk!"
   "Hey, do you want her alive or not?" asked Tai. "We can't just leave her there."  Tai turned red and said sheepishly, "You better do it Izzy."
   "Very funny Tai," said Izzy.
   I'll do it! Matt thought. Wait a second! What did I just say? Wow, I guess I really want her back alive. It's just that...I don't know. Every time I see her, I get this strange feeling.
   "Perhaps you should have the honor," said Izzy. "After all, you are the group leader."
   "Uh, well, you see…" Tai trailed off. "I have kissphobia!"
   "Ha ha, very funny Tai," said Matt.
   "It doesn't matter anyway," said Izzy. "Matt's the one who has to bring her back alive."
   Matt turned to face Izzy. "What did you just say?"
   "Isn't it obvious?" asked Izzy.
   "What is?" asked T.K.
   "The meaning of the words!"
   Tai shrugged. "A friend has to kiss her and then she'll be alive again."
   "Not just any friend!" said Izzy. "A kiss of friendship. Matt has the crest of friendship, and therefore he is the one who will waken her up."
   "Hey, I never realized that!" cried Sora. "But at least we've got it figured out!"
   "I've gotta watch this!" said T.K. He looked intently at Matt and Lily, watching in suspense.
   "Since when were you interested in this kind of stuff T.K.?" asked Patamon.
   "Since now!"
   What if this doesn't work? thought Matt to himself. What if she doesn't wake up?
   Matt leaned over Lily, finding that his hands were shaking. He took her hands in his and felt the coldness seep through him. I hope this works.
  Matt looked up and found everyone staring at him with wide eyes. "Uh...can you not stare at me?"
  Everybody turned away in embarrassment, only to have their eyes drawn back towards Matt.
  Matt sighed, but he held Lily's hand tighter, feeling like nothing existed except for him and her. He knelt down towards her face and closed his eyes. I just want her to be alive again. I can't bear to lose a friend like her.
  As Matt kissed Lily gently, a bright light shone from under his shirt. He realized it was his crest. The light shone over Lily's face and he felt a kiss press in return to his own lips. "Matt?"
  Speechless, Matt sat back up as he felt her hands becoming warmer. Lily's eyes opening slightly and she murmured, "What a wonderful dream."
  "You're - you're alive!" Matt said happily and shocked at the same time.
  "Wha - ?" began Lily. "The last thing I remember was getting hit by a big ball and falling...and then Matt kissed me." Lily smiled to herself. "I'm still dreaming...he's holding me."
   "Uh…" Matt said, turning red.
   "Hey, Lily, you're not dreaming! You're alive 'cause Matt kissed you!" cried Tai excitedly.
   "Lily, we were so worried!" said Sora, stepping up closer. "We thought you were a goner!"
   Lightmon wiped away her tears. "I'm so glad you're still alive. I'm so sorry I almost killed you!"
   "Oh, Lightmon. It's okay. You were only trying to protect me," said Lily, starting to sit up. She blushed as she noticed where her hands were. "But… um, can you guys explain this coming back to life because Matt kissed me thing?"
   "Oh, that's what you want to know?" said T.K. "Well, you see, Matt saved you when you fell in the water! It was really awesome, he just dived in and I got really afraid he might drown or something but he didn't and he came back up and he was carrying you and then everyone was really sad because you were dead the time and we were even scareder than before but we tried to be brave and stuff but you were still dead and then Matt got all worked up and started talking about how it wouldn't be right if you were dead and he took the piece of paper we found in your pocket and it said the prophecy and Matt got even more angry and he crumpled up the paper and then this gold strip formed and it said something about how Matt had to kiss you to wake up you up and so he did and we were all watching it was really cool you know I think he really likes you it was a really long kiss and he looked like he really really really enjoyed it and did you notice how he was holding your hand too hey he still is actually you're holding his back oh wow maybe you too are  gonna kiss even more and hey that's more gross than it is exciting -"
   "Yeah, I understand now," Lily interrupted him quickly. "Thanks T.K."
   "You're welcome!"
   Whispering, Lily said to Matt, "Tell me about it later, okay?"
   "Right," said Matt, careful not to look at Lily. I'm so happy she's alive...it's just that every time I look at her, I just want to be with her, like I need her or something. What does it mean?
   Lily looked at Matt with wondering eyes. What's he thinking? Well, maybe I shouldn't intrude into his thoughts, it's just that I've never met anyone like him before. He brought me back to life! Without him, I'd still be dead! Lily shuddered at the thought.
  "Oh, are you cold?" asked Matt feeling her shiver. "I'd get you a blanket or something, but we don't have any." He helped her up, feeling the others' eyes on him. "Are you guys going to help her or what? Are would you rather just stand there watching us?"
   "Oh, yeah. Right." Tai got up and paused. "Do what/"
   "It's okay, Matt. I feel fine." Lily smiled. "I'm just glad we're all alright."
   "Well, if you're really fine, maybe you could tell me where you got that -"
   "Mimi, why don't you let her rest for a while?" suggested Izzy. "She's probably weak from the previous event."
  What a second. What's going on here? Lily thought. Okay, I know who these people are. I know I was just attacked by Myotismon….but something's wrong. I'm missing something.
   "What's wrong?" Matt asked immediately as her face changed expression.
   "What? Oh…" said Lily. "I - I'm not sure."
   "Not sure?" asked Joe. "Oh, this can't be good."
   "No, it's just that...I know where I am and who I'm with, I just don't know why," said Lily.
   "What do you mean by 'why'?" asked Sora.
   "I mean, why am I here? What's the purpose of my being here in the first place?"
   "You were sent to give us a message that would aid us in defeating Myotismon, I believe," said Izzy.
   "Message?" asked Lily. "What message?"
   "You know. That prophecy thing," Tai told her.
   "Prophecy? Message?"
   "Oh no. Don't say you don't remember," said Joe.
   "I...I…"
   "You really don't remember?" asked Ponymon.
   "No," said Lily. She groaned. "It was really important, wasn't it? Do you remember it Ponymon?"
   "Hey, don't look at me! You're the one who insisted you didn't need to write it down!" protested Ponymon.
   "Whoa, calm down! I'm not accusing you of anything," Lily said. "Anyway, it's not like I planned to forget it." Oh no! I'm starting to feel tired...I don't...I don't think I can stand up anymore…
   "Lily!" Matt cried as she fell into his arms. "Lily, wake up!"
   "She appears to have fainted from exhaustion," concluded Izzy.
   "No duh!" said Tai.
   "What do we do now?" asked Joe.
   "We get her into some shade and go relax ourselves. I don't know about you guys, but I could sure use a rest," said Tai. "And food would be nice too."
   "Tai, stop thinking about food for once! Let's just concentrate on getting a place to rest!" said Sora.
   "Okay, okay."
   Hang on, Lily, Matt thought. You'll be alright.

   Where am I? Thought Lily. The last thing I remember is fainting.
